Rohshan is a Vedic astrology (Jyotisha) tool built around one principle: the calculations should always be free, and what you pay for is help understanding what they mean for an actual life.
Casting a chart, every divisional chart (varga), Vimshottari and Yogini dashas, yogas, ashtakavarga, panchanga, and the Muhurta finder are deterministic calculations — the same formula produces the same result every time, for anyone, at no cost.
Turning those calculations into plain-language guidance — a dasha explanation, a compatibility reading, a yearly forecast, answering a specific question about your chart — is generated for your specific chart by Rohshan's reading engine, which has a real cost per reading. That's what Rohshan Credits pay for.
We'd rather tell you honestly what our calculations are accurate to (see our Methodology page) than overstate it. Where the current precision isn't good enough for something — birth-time rectification, for instance — we don't build a version that pretends otherwise; we wait until it can be done properly.
